COMPANY PROFILE
Danareksa Research Institute or DRI was established in September 1999 as
an independent non profit institution to spread economic research
findings to spread economic researchfinding out to the widest possible
audience. DRI came outof the economic research divisoin of Danareksa,
easily Indonesia's number one investment bank.

The Danareksa Research Institute (DRI) aims to become an independent
economic research center of international standing, providing its
clients with highly reliable information, market intelligence, and
strategic concepts. The institute seeks to identify divergences in the
fluctuations of business and financial cycles by means of an early
warning system to allow clients to take the necessary action to minimise
or even avoid loses.The early warning system allows policy makers to
develop appropriate strategies in response. The mission of the Danareksa
Research Institute is not only to improve the business environment and
support the recovery process of the Indonesian economy, but also to
detect the possibility of recurring crises. dri will regularly provide
diagnosis of areas of vulnerability which may lead to policy remedies to
avoid or minimise potential damage.
RESEARCH FOR POLICY
FORMULATION
The ultimate objective of dri is to provide key economic policy analysis
inputs with the goal of fostering sustainable growth of the Indonesian
economy. These inputs serve as an analytical basis for policy
formulation with the aim of avoiding or minimising financial losses.
With the presence of such a solid basis, policy makers in the public and
private sectors will not feel compelled to rely on hunches. dri monitors
flows of seamless capital and products not only in Indonesia but also
abroad. Its assessment of market risks, however, excludes individual
corporate risks. The study is forward-oriented with an emphasis of
understanding the story behind the numbers and the implications of
changes that are foreseeable in the years ahead.

The reports that DRI publishes use carefully verified inputs and well-defined
methodologies. The reports provide economic and financial information
in detail and up to date. The volatility of the economy requires the
most up tp date information; consequently, DRI prides itself in using
regular surveys to come up with updated information to allows its
reader to respond promptly to recent changes. RESEARCH STAFF Danareksa
Research Institute is led by Dr. Rino Agung Effendi and Dr. Raden
Pardede. Dri also supported by six economist, several statisticians,
editor, experienced production and administration team, all of whom
well qualifed and aligned to having dri be an independent economic
research center of international standing.
